This week we visit the 1951 animated classic 'Alice In Wonderland' in our continuing series of Disney Movie Hour where we go back and review a classic Disney film. We go over the film scene by scene then ask three questions that we put to every film reviewed. Number one, is it a film trying to deliver a moral message, gain an emotional reaction, or neither. Number two, what is the iconic shot of the film? And finally, does the film hold up? Lot's to discuss this week towards the history of the novel and the production of the film itself. We also head to iTunes and read our newly received 5 Star reviews.
Here is some reference footage for Alice in Wonderland that was used as a guide to animate the characters. In it you see Ed Wynn, Kathryn Beaumont and Jerry Colonna being filmed as they act out the mad tea party sequence and how closely their movements are mirrored in the final animated version.
In other news, we would like to invite you to join us at LastGen Podcast and John Squires of Freddy In Space for a one night screening of THE FINAL GIRLS at the Plaza Cinema Media Arts Center in Patchogue on Thursday May 19th at 7:45pm.
